Arrest over last week’s Frame Lake Trail indecent act

Police have arrested a 26-year-old in connection with last week’s report of a man exposing his genitals to a cyclist on the Frame Lake Trail.

Yellowknife resident Mitchell Thomas Modeste has been charged with an indecent act and failing to comply with a probation order.

RCMP made the arrest on Tuesday after using video surveillance to help identify Modeste.

Police had initially been unable to locate a suspect after the incident, which took place on the trail just before 4pm last Thursday, near Byrne Road.

Modeste is due in court on Friday, July 10.
