City of Yellowknife announces date for Fall Amnesty Day 2023

The City of Yellowknife has announced the date of Fall Amnesty Day 2023 after a nearly month-long evacuation due to wildfires.

On Saturday, September 23, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., the usual $16.50 residential tipping fee at the Solid Waste Facility will be waived.

The City of Yellowknife adds that other tipping and out-of-town fees will still apply, and commercial vehicles are not included under the Residential Vehicle Charge.
