Pre-registration for re-entry flights for residents of Hay River, KFN, and Fort Smith has been extended by the GNWT.
Originally, residents looking to pre-register a return flight home had until September 14th; however, according to the GNWT, phone lines will now be open until 10:00 pm tonight, and again from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm tomorrow.
Interested residents are encouraged to call 1-(888)-383-6649, to confirm a pre-registration for a flight home. Residents who are unable to call, are asked to email [email protected].
“Your information will be processed as quickly as possible to determine the appropriate re-entry flight for you, and once your flight information is available, the GNWT is going to call you,” EMO Representative Jay Boast says.
Once information is processed, the GNWT says they will provide applicants with flight information and ground transportation from designated pickup locations to an assigned airport and calls are scheduled to begin on September 15th.
