Things may be starting to take a turn for the better in Fort Smith.
In a pair of video updates shared by Councillor Dana Fergusson, Fort Smith was seen with wet grounds, and shrouded in a heavy blanket of fog after the community received heavy rainfall last night.
Pictures shared by Councillor Fergusson showed buildings and a water tower which are barely visible through the fog.

“We had a great rain last night, so the ground is really wet, there’s lots of moisture out there, and it’s fantastic. We have really favourable wind, so the whole community of Fort Smith ahs not had any structure damage, has not had any fire in the community, and has not had any destruction at all.”
Fort Smith had previously received a full evacuation order, with many residents making their way down to Grand Prairie, Alberta.
