On August 9th, Fort Providence RCMP recieved a complaint from a resident that a drug dealer was hiding out at a property in the Hamlet.
Upon arrival, officers located the suspect and promptly arrested him. During the arrest, police say a large quantity of cash, drug paraphernalia, and over 30 grams of suspected crack-cocaine was seized.
The 21-year-old Ontario man was charged with possession related to trafficking and possession of crime-related property.
The man appeared in court before a Justice of the Peace and is being held in custody until a court appearance in Yellowknife today.
