The GNWT is proposing several amendments to the Immunization Regulations that make changes to information collection and reporting.
According to the GNWT, the proposed changes will remove the Notifiable Immunization Schedule and require all immunizations to be reported to the Chief Public Health Officer.
The proposed changes will also require a health care professional to provide post-immunization infection, and information regarding a legal guardian’s refusal to vaccinate.
Additionally, changes will require a person in charge of a health care facility to inform the Chief Public Health Officer of any circumstances that prevent a health care professional from providing required information.
