Yellowknife RCMP Arrest Man for Stolen Property

Yellowknife RCMP have recently arrested a man for the theft of several items from small businesses.

On June 28th, at 3:30 a.m., the Yellowknife RCMP received a complaint of a suspicious person that appeared to be stealing items from downtown properties. RCMP attended and arrested a 35-year-old man who was found to be driving a stolen dirt bike and in possession of a rifle and a bag of suspected stolen property. Officers also determined that the man was impaired. The man was held in custody and is facing a number of charges, including:

– Theft of a motorcycle
– Impaired operation of a motor vehicle
– Resisting arrest
– Possession of Property obtained by crime
– Theft of a credit card
– Carrying a concealed weapon
– Possession of firearm while prohibited

The Yellowknife RCMP have not been able to determine the ownership of the dirt bike. Police are asking the owner of the dirt bike (pictured above) to contact the Yellowknife RCMP.
