Starting on July 15, 2023, Yellowknife Airport will no longer allow street parking on airport property on Bristol Court, Bristol Avenue, and Berry Street.
According to the Department of Infrastructure, the change will allow for more efficient maintenance activities on airport property.
In the past, paid parking has been allowed in Bristol and Berry through a pay-by-phone service. Now, all pay-by-phone signage will be replaced with no parking signs. Notices will be posted on parked vehicles by June 15, and after July 15, all vehicles remaining at the posted locations will be towed.
The Department of Infrastructure says parking will still be available in the long-term energized lot on Bristol Avenue with a fee of $7.50 for each 24-hour period up to $150 or 20 calendar days per month.
