More fire bans have been lifted across the territory today.
The fire ban at Fort Simpson and Sambaa Deh Falls Territorial Parks has been lifted, leaving just three territorial parks under fire bans currently.
Fort Providence Territorial Park, Twin Falls Territorial Park, and Queen Elizabeth Territorial Park all remain under fire bans until further notice.
NWT Parks is reminding park users to only light fires in designated fire pits despite ban lifts.
Firesmart measures are encouraged to all NWT park users including ‘Soak, Stir, Soak,’ a preventative measure to discourage fires from getting out of control when park users leave their fires unattended.
