GNWT looks for passionate individuals to join NWT Arts Council

The GNWT announced today they are looking for individuals from the Beaufort Delta and Sahtu regions to join the NWT Arts Council.

Successful candidates must have a passion for arts, culture, and heritage and must live in the region they apply for.

Council members will provide recommendations to the Minister of Culture on financial awards for creative artistic projects in the visual, literary, media, and performing arts. Previous board experience is not required.

Upon selection, candidates will be eligible to serve a two-year term starting September 1, 2023.

Interested applicants are encouraged to apply at www.ece.gov.nt.ca/nwt-arts-council. The deadline to apply is August 1, 2023.
