Visitors to the Wood Buffalo National Park are being asked to stay away from a certain area.
As of 10:00am on June 1st, the Pine Lake area has been closed to the public as a precautionary measure due to a wildfire that is located within 12 kilometres of the Lake.
The closure includes all of Pine Lake, including private cabins, Pine Lake Campground, Kettle Point and Pine Lake rental cabins.
The closure is being put in place as a precautionary measure to allow fire personnel time to set up structure protection.
Law Enforcement is currently advising those in the area, out of cell phone service.
