The City of Yellowknife has announced two new grants for eligible small and medium-sized local businesses and organizations to apply for.
Grants are designed to help businesses and organizations that are still navigating the impacts of COVID-19.
The first grant is the COVID-19 Festival and Events Grant, which aims to bring new events and festivals to Yellowknife and reinstate former events. A total of $30,000 of funding is available for this grant and each organization may apply for up to $5,000.
The second is the COVID-19 Business Recovery Grant, which is aimed at helping businesses have the tools they need to retain employees and manage operations. $200,000 of funding is available, and eligible businesses can apply for up to $10,000.
Applications open on June 12, 2023, and are received on a first-come, first served basis.
