Fred Henne Campground opens up for Hay River fire evacuees

Fred Henne Territorial Park announced they are welcoming all Hay River evacuees to pitch a tent and take shelter on the campground.

Powered and non-powered sites are available for attendees with prices around $22.50 for trailer spots.

Several campers cancelled their reservations to open sites up for evacuees and Fred Henne representatives say camping is a more affordable solution as hotels begin to fill and can be pricey.

Fred Henne park is a pet-friendly option for evacuees concerned about finding temporary housing for their animals.
