Snow removal services continue for the City of Yellowknife.
Over the past week, snow plows and shovel-bearing construction vehicles have been working throughout the city to clear the streets to the best of their ability. While some roads are still challenging to get through, it is only a mater of time before they too are cleared.
The snow removal schedule for the week of November 28th to December 2nd is as follows:

Residents must ensure parked vehicles are removed from these streets by midnight on the date scheduled for snow removal or they will be towed away. Residents are advised that there will be traffic delays in snow removal areas and if possible, to use an alternate route to avoid delays. The City asks residents to ensure Curbside Carts are returned to your property prior to the scheduled snow removal on your street.
The City carries out snow removal, snow ploughing and winter street sand placement to increase traction on the road and improve pedestrian and motorist safety. The schedule for snow removal is determined by a priority system. High traffic areas and areas close to schools have a higher priority than low traffic residential roads.
The week of December 5th to December 9th will see snow removal take place on Finlayson Drive, Kam Lake Road, Range Lake Road, and Old Airport Road.
