Ptarmicon Puts Together Weekend Haunted House

Halloween is here, and Ptarmicon was able to have a bit of fun over the weekend.

On Saturday, October 29th, Ptarmicon was able to team up with Makerspace YK to throw together a short haunted house experience to help get people excited for Halloween. They were able to put aside a room at #100 – 5001 Forrest Drive in Yellowknife. The event was very small in scale, with only a single corridor filled with spooky sounds and actors doing their best to get scares out of the attendees.

Reigh Leigh Foster, who organizes many of Ptarmicon’s main events, explained that organization of the haunted house had only begun about a week before it was opened, and construction only took a single day.

Despite the small scale, Reigh was still happy with the turnout, and hopes to go bigger for next year.

“We’ve been working more and more with the Makerspace, so we’re gonna be planning more events with these guys in this space.”

The event ran from 3pm to 5,and was followed by a more scare-intense session from 6pm to 10:30.
