On Monday October 17, 2022, members of the Norman Wells RCMP with assistance from a neighboring Detachment executed a Search Warrant at a residence in Norman Wells.
As a result of the search, police seized 16 long barrel firearms, 4 restricted handguns, 3 air rifles, 3 swords and in excess of 1300 rounds of various types of ammunition.
No charges were laid however a Disposition Hearing in relation to the seized firearms that were not properly secured is scheduled for November 3, 2022 at 9:30 PM in Territorial Court in Norman Wells.
