COVID-19 Restrictions Eased in Yellowknife City Facilities

The City of Yellowknife (the City) has implemented changes to the proof of vaccine requirements and capacity restrictions, in accordance with the Government of the Northwest Territories Office of the Chief Public Health Officer’s (OCPHO) recent announcement that as of March 1, 2022, gathering restrictions and the Proof of Vaccine Program for businesses will no longer be in effect.

The Proof of Vaccine Policy (POV) at City facilities has been rescinded and POV is no longer required at any City facility, program or event. The City has also removed the need to complete COVID-19 screening and contract tracing before entering City facilities, programs and events. Capacity restrictions have also been lifted at City facilities, for City programming and events, and on Yellowknife Public Transit.

Masks or facial coverings remain mandatory in City facilities and on Yellowknife Public Transit
