Three men have been arrested, and another man is in the hospital after an assault that took place over the weekend.
on February 12th, Yellowknife RCMP were called to a business on Range Lake Road shortly after 2:00 AM. Upon their arrival, they were informed of a group of three men being attacked by another trio of men.
During the course of the investigation, three men were arrested and approximately thirty-nine grams of crack-cocaine and more than $4,700 in cash were seized from one of the suspects.
One of the victims of the attack was transported to Stanton Territorial Hospital. He has sustained serious, but not life-threatening, injuries. The other two victims did not require medical attention.
One of the suspects has been identified. Ban Gai Ngumdeng, a 29-year-old from Calgary, has been charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking, two counts of Assault, two counts of Obstructing a Police Officer, and Mischief under $5,000.
The other two male suspects were released to appear in court at a later date and their formal charges are pending.
