The GNWT has announced that it is now accepting applications for the 2021-2022 Healthy Choices Fund.
The fund helps organizations and community governments support individuals, families, and communities in making positive lifestyle choices.
The annual funding is $400,000 with the maximum funding available per project being $75,000 and minimum being $10,000.
Those who can apply for the fund are Indigenous governments in the NWT; community governing authorities; Non-government organizations that can demonstrate partnership or support from an Aboriginal or community governing authority; and Health and Social Services Authorities.
Eligible projects are those that provide a tangible service or support at the community, regional or territorial level; demonstrate the potential to improve the health of residents in a measurable fashion; and whose activities link to existing community or regional based programs.
They must also demonstrate the ability to develop meaningful partnerships with other organizations and promote healthy choices; be located in the NWT; and adhere to COVID-19 Emerging Wisely Guidelines.
The application deadline is set for April 1st.
