Employee injured at Jackfish Generating Facility

An employee of the Northwest Territories Power Corporation has been injured at the Jackfish Generating Facility in Yellowknife.

The employee was taken to the Stanton Territorial Hospital for treatment. NTPC said they would not be providing any more information about the condition of the worker.

“Our thoughts are with our employee and his family,” Noel Voykin, CEO of the Northwest Territories Power Corporation. “We will provide them with whatever support we can at this difficult time.”

The incident has been reported to the Workplace Safety and Compensation Commission for investigation.
