Nominations open for Order of the NWT

Nominations are currently being accepted for the highest honour awarded to NWT residents, the Order of the NWT.

Canadian citizens who are current or former residents of NWT are eligible to receive the Order and can be nominated by an individual or organization.

According to the Legislative Assembly, the Order is reserved for those who have demonstrated a high level of excellence and achievement and have made a significant contribution to the NWT.

The Order was established in 2013 to recognize individuals who have served with the greatest distinction and excelled in any field benefiting the people of the NWT.

The most recent recipients chosen by the NWT Honours Advisory Council were Joe McBryan and Lyda Fuller in 2019.

The deadline for nominations is April 16th at 5:00 p.m. Nomination forms can be viewed here.
