Registration opening next week for YK aquatics programs

Registration for the City of Yellowknife’s spring aquatics programming will open at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, March 8th.

The schedule of available aquatics programs can be viewed here.

Residents looking to sign-up for aquatics programs can register online or by calling 920-5683 or 669-3457.

To register online, residents must login to their accounts. Residents who do not yet have an account with the City can register using the instructions provided online.

Everyone participating in City programming is reminded to complete the Contact Tracing form before every class.

GNWT says another school shows elevated lead in some water fixtures

A school in Behchokǫ̀ is the latest to receive test results showing elevated levels of lead in some water fixtures. So far, 28 tested school results have been announced to date, 23 have tested positive for elevated levels of lead in some of their drinking water fixtures. Robin Ferguson, Acting Assistant Deputy Minister at the Department of Infrastructure has said the GNWT plans to test more public buildings once school testing is completed.
