Almost 2,000 NWT residents fully vaccinated

Nearly 2,000 residents throughout the NWT have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

The government says as of February 22nd, 1,934 residents have received both shots of the vaccine.

The groups that were fully vaccinated most recently include priority residents in Colville Lake, Wekweeti, Sachs Harbour, Ulukhaktok, Wrigley, Sambaa Ke, Paulatuk, Jean Marie River, Nahanni Butte, Enterprise and Kakisa.

Several more second dose clinics have been scheduled in Yellowknife and other communities for the remainder of this week and next week.

So far, 14,520 first doses have been delivered to NWT residents, close to 1,000 more people than at this time last week.

There remains 10 active cases of COVID-19 in the territory. All 10 cases are related to the outbreak at Gahcho Kué. Five of the cases are NWT residents and five are non-NWT workers.
