100.1 True North FM is turning over the airways to the Rotary Club of Yellowknife for a one day marathon fundraiser on February 23rd.

Each year, the Yellowknife Rotarians take over CJCD to raise money for its various programs in the community.

Money is raised by selling ads to local businesses for play during Rotary Radio Day. Those ads are produced and recorded by Rotarians for play on the big day.

Rotarians will also be joining our on-air hosts throughout the day from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. to talk about the club, it’s missions and it’s programs.

“It’s a lovely outreach and we get to tell a little of what we do in the community,” says Rotary Club President Wayne Guy.

For more information about the Rotary Club of Yellowknife, tune in tomorrow to 100.1 True North FM and head over to their website.
