GNWT seeking public input on key water initiative

The GNWT is seeking input from residents to help shape the new Water Stewardship Strategy Action Plan.

Since the release of the first action plan in 2010, two five-year plans have been developed to improve and promote water stewardship in the NWT.

Minister of Environment and Natural Resources Shane Thompson says clean, abundant water is one of the most valuable natural resources in the Northwest Territories.

“Our government will always listen to residents and partners to ensure their values and perspectives are reflected in the ways we manage this precious resource,” he adds.

Northern residents are invited to participate in a survey on the ENR’s website until March 15th.
