The NWT has fully vaccinated 579 residents against COVID-19 as of February 15th.
The groups that are fully vaccinated include, long term care residents and staff across the territory and certain residents in K’atl’odeeche First Nation and Tsiigehtchic.
Territorial Medical Director Dr. AnneMarie Pegg says there won’t be any issue of falling within the 42 days recommended for getting second doses as the fourth vaccine shipment will be arriving on schedule.
Second dose clinics have been scheduled in Yellowknife and several remote communities for the remainder of this week and next week.
So far, 13,578 first doses have been delivered to residents, representing just over 39 percent of NWT adults..
Health Minister Julie Green says the NWT is leading the country in the delivery of first doses.
There are 34,400 adults eligible to be vaccinated in the territory.
