Expanded opportunity for first doses in YK, delays for some second doses, remote clinics going ahead

The NTHSSA has announced several changes to vaccine clinics as they are adding first dose appointments in Yellowknife for Priority Populations and delaying certain second dose appointments.

From Feb 15th – 20th, approximately 1,500 additional appointments will be held at the Centre Square Mall in Yellowknife for first dose opportunities for priority groups.

Second dose appointments for those in larger communities however will be delayed, aiming to complete these closer to the 42 day timeframe from first dose.

The majority of the appointments were to be held between February 15th and 19th in Yellowknife.

These individuals are being contacted directly by Public Health and asked to re-book when future opportunities for second doses are announced

The second dose clinics scheduled for remote communities will be proceeding as planned and updates will be made as more clinics get added.

The NTHSSA says just because some smaller communities are not yet on the schedule does not mean they will not be getting a clinic.

Appointments in Yellowknife can be made online here.
