More delays in Canada’s COVID-19 Vaccine deliveries

Canada is facing more delays for COVID-19 vaccines.

Major General Dani Fortin, the head of the country’s COVID-19 vaccine rollout task force, says the promised 249,000 doses from Moderna for the week of February 22nd will be short.

Fortin says the manufacturer has not specified why the delay is happening but is still committed to providing 2-million doses by end of March.

Canada has administered just over a million doses of COVID-19 vaccines. Officials say 870,000 people have received one dose and over 100,000 have received both doses.

Reservoir Rd closed for fastball championship in Yellowknife

Yellowknife city officials announced that Reservoir Road will be closed beginning Friday. Reservoir Road from Wıìlıìdeh Avenue will be closed to traffic beginning  at 9 a.m. until Monday.

Crews say hot, dry conditions increasing wildfire activity in N.W.T.

Wildland crews continue to battle wildfires concentrated in the Dehcho and Sahtu regions, but fire activity is also increasing in the South Slave and in the North Slave regions. Wildfires near Behchoko and Gameti saw increased growth due to weather conditions. On Wednesday, NWT Fire issued a special bulletin after a wildfire was spotted close to Fort Resolution.
