New Winter Parenting Guide released; input wanted

A newly released guide is hoping to help parents across Yellowknife keep the calendar busy with safe activities for the entire family.

Inclusion NWT’s Winter Parenting Guide includes information about organizations and activities available in the community, along with links and contacts of interest.

Youth Facilitator Abby Goodwin says the parenting guide is meant to be experienced much like a chat one might have around the kitchen table with other parents.

“We’re hoping the resource will grow over the next couple of weeks as residents chime in with their own parenting tips and ideas, which we will share on our social media pages and website,” she adds.

Goodwin says they are thrilled with the response seen from families and caregivers so far and are excited to share more fun activities for all ages online this week.

“We’re thankful for all the fresh, creative ideas parents and caregivers have shared with us so far to help keep families entertained during these cold months…the more ideas, the better,” she adds.

You can find the full guide on the Inclusion NWT website.
