Over 5-million Canadians receiving CERB payments

The federal government reports that 5.38-million people are now receiving the Canada Emergency Response Benefit. That includes people who were on employment insurance and were switched over to the CERB.

Over the weekend another 112,000 people have applied for the $2,000 monthly aid.  There have been 5.97 million people who have applied for the benefit.
