To ensure all festively lit homes get nominated or registered, the City of Yellowknife and Northland Utilities has extended the registration deadline for the Annual Holiday Lights Competition to Sunday, December 15.
Residents can register by emailing their address and a photo of their lights to [email protected]. Entries will be uploaded to the holiday lights map where residents can view the lights, plan their holiday lights tour, and vote for their favorite, starting Monday, December 16. Voting will remain open until midnight on Sunday, December 22.
Northland Utilities will select 5 winners from the top 20 entries selected by residents. Each winner will receive a $150 prize. All who register will be entered in a draw for $100, courtesy of Northland Utilities. Winners will be announced on Monday, December 23. Visit www.yellowknife.ca/holidaylights for more details.
