Yellowknife Canadian Tire helps YK Food Bank with generous donation

Jason and Karen Butorac, are the owners of the local Yellowknife Canadian Tire. A couple who truly cares about the community they work and live in.

The Yellowknife Canadian Tire recently supported your community by helping with the donation of Winter jackets for 100.1 The Moose #WarmSouls Coats for the Cold Campaign and the giving continues.

The owners presented the YK Food Bank with a generous donation of $2500 on Monday to help support the food drive in this community.

“It’s important to provide support to the YK Food Bank, especially at this time of the year when the need is high,” Karen Butorac said. “We are thankful to be part of this amazing community and proud to be able to give back in this way.”
Colleen McLean is the Volunteer Coordinator for the YK Food Bank. 100.1 The Moose asked McLean why donations like these to the YK Food Bank are so important.
“Donations are very important,” McLean said. “Seems like every year we get more and more either homeless people or people with low income, it doesn’t matter your income, you know where we are whenever you need food.”
The Yellowknife Canadian Tire and the YK Food Bank is dedicated to helping your community.
