At approximately 10:12 a.m., on Wednesday, November 27,  Fort Good Hope RCMP received a tip from the public that an individual was travelling to Fort Good Hope transporting alcohol in excess, above the restricted quantity defined by the Liquor Act. RCMP seized 25 bottles of vodka, of 375 ml, one bottle of 40 oz. of vodka and four small B52 shooters. The alcohol has been disposed of. No arrest has been made and the investigation is ongoing.

“Alcohol is restricted in Fort Good Hope to protect its most vulnerable citizens. Any seizure is a dent in potential calls and violence related to intoxication,” Sgt Steven Huff, Acting North District Advisory NCO said. “These seizures would have not been possible without public assistance. We are thankful Fort Good Hope residents are working with us in making the community a safer one.”
