The City of Yellowknife and Northland Utilities have once again partnered to bring residents the annual Holiday Lights Competition, this year with a few exciting changes.
You can now register your lights via email and residents will vote first and choose the finalists. However, this year, there will be no categories, just lots of bright, festive lights. Residents can register by emailing their address and a photo of their lights to [email protected].
Entries will be uploaded to a holiday lights map where residents can view the lights, plan their holiday lights tour, and vote, starting Monday, December 9th. Voting will remain open until Monday, December 16th.
Northland Utilities will select 5 winners from the top 20 entries selected by residents. Each winner will receive a $150 prize. All who register will be entered into a draw for $100, courtesy of Northland Utilities. The winners will be announced on Friday, December 20th.
