Yellowknife, NWT – The Conference Board of Canada says the territories are economically outperforming most of their provincial counterparts.
In a report card released Thursday, the board says the economic outlook remains positive for the territories over the next few years.
The Northwest Territories scores an A plus grade on income per capita, which has been well above that of every Canadian province and territory since the beginning of the 2000s.
NWT scores its lowest grades on employment growth and labour productivity growth.
Despite the decline in labour productivity growth, the board says the level in the NWT is still the highest among the provinces and territories.
