A close call for one truck driver in recent Yellowknife motor vehicle accident

A recent Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) on Franklin Avenue in Yellowknife luckily left one truck driver uninjured and disrupted traffic in the capital city for a short period of time.

“At approximately 3:13 p.m., on Thursday, November 14th, 2019, the Yellowknife RCMP attended a motor vehicle incident on 50th Avenue,” Plourde said. “The driver of a parked vehicle opened its door when a bus was coming in the adjacent lane. The bus’s mirror hit the vehicle’s door.”

Plourde says no one sustained injuries during this incident and no charges have been laid.
