The masks are plastic and can be secured with an attached elasticized band Health Canada Says. They have cutouts in the eye and nose areas and have thin coloured tubing around the eyes, nose, mouth and top edge of the masks.

The thin coloured tubing is shaped around the eye and mouth areas. The masks are operated with two AA batteries and when turned on, the thin coloured tubing lights up.

The wires underneath the mask may be exposed and come into contact with the face, posing a burn hazard, Health Canada warns.

Consumers should immediately stop using the masks and return them to their local Giant Tiger store for a refund.
