Yukon RCMP make arrest in Whitehorse homicide

The Yukon RCMP have made an arrest in connection with the death of a 45-year-old man in 2017.

On October 16, the Yukon RCMP arrested Connie Peggy Thorn, a 50-year-old Whitehorse woman, in connection with the April 6, 2017 death of 45-year-old Greg Dawson.

Ms. Thorn was arrested in Whitehorse on the morning of Wednesday, October 16, and charged for second-degree murder, under section 235 (1) of the Criminal Code. She is scheduled to appear in court on October 17, 2019.

This is the first major arrest for Yukon RCMP’s new Historical Case Unit, which has been fully staffed with three full-time investigators since February 2019.
