The City of Yellowknife wants your opinion for a Community Plan

The City of Yellowknife, in partnership with Dillon Consulting Limited, is undertaking a Community Plan review and invites residents to take part in the process.

“Resident’s feedback is vital to the development of the Community Plan”  Mayor Alty said. “We want to engage with Yellowknifers every step of the way so that a collaborative, community vision can be laid out.”

A Community Plan is the road map for how land will be used and planned for over the next 20 years according to Mayor Alty.

This review is mandated by territorial legislation, which requires the City to review its Community Plan every eight years. Public engagement events were held earlier in 2019 and background research was conducted. The City is now ready to share the draft Community Plan with the public and invites residents to review it during the engagement opportunities highlighted below.
