Weekend stabbing in Yellowknife sends man to hospital

One male victim has been taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries after a stabbing in downtown Yellowknife.

Police were called to Sunridge Apartments on 51A Avenue shortly after 12:30 p.m., where they located one person suffering from a stab wound.

Julie Plourde is the Media Relations Officer with the Northwest Territories RCMP  in Yellowknife, NT.

“At approximately 12:34 p.m., on Saturday, September 21, Yellowknife RCMP received a call for service regarding an alleged assault in the area of 51A Avenue, in downtown Yellowknife,” Plourde said. “A male victim received a non-life threatening injury and was transported to hospital. The investigation is ongoing.”
