Fort Smith man charged with child pornography offences

As a result of an investigation by the NT RCMP Internet Child Exploitation Unit (ICE), Marcus Bourke, a 22-year old-man from Fort Smith, has been charged with child pornography offences.

On September 17,  the ICE Unit, with the assistance of G Division Major Crime Unit, Fort Smith RCMP and Saskatchewan Digital Forensics Unit, executed a search warrant for electronic devices at a residence.

The suspect, Marcus Bourke, was arrested on scene without incident. He has since been released on strict conditions.

He has been charged with:

  • Two counts of Luring.
  • Two counts Possession of Child Pornography.

Marcus Bourke is scheduled to appear before the court on January 20, 2020.
