NWT Senior Administrator of the Year nominees announced

LGANT have announced the 2019 Award Nominees for Senior Administrator of the Year. The award is presented to a Local Government Administrator in the NWT who has displayed outstanding commitment, dedication and public service and is held in high regard by his/her profession and community.

To be nominated, one must be employed by a local community government in the NWT on the date of the nomination submission which was August 30th. The five nominees for the award are:

  • Sheila Bassi-Kellett, City of Yellowknife,
  • Fred Behrens, Hamlet of Aklavik,
  • Judal Dominicata, Community Government of Gameti,
  • Judy Goucher, Town of Hay River, and
  • Lisa Nitsiza, Community Government of Whati.

Grant Hood, LGANT president congratulated the nominees who he says have demonstrated leadership, innovation and achievements in their profession.

“Each of these nominees has contributed not only to improving their communities but also to improving the profession of local government administration through their initiatives and accomplishments.”

One individual will receive this award on Wednesday, September 25th at the LGANT Awards Banquet, held during the 2019 LGANT Professional Development Conference & AGM at the Chateau Nova Hotel in Yellowknife.
