Outdoor enthusiasts can start booking their favourite NWT campsites online starting Wednesday.
The territorial government’s online reservation system on nwtparks.ca, which will go live at 10am Wednesday, allows campers to select and book sites in more than a dozen campgrounds across the NWT.
The site also includes cost and power options, maps, photos and recommended unit sizes.
The GNWT says over 900 reservations were made on the day the reservation site went live last year.
In total, over 8,000 permits were sold during last year’s camping season with nearly half being sold to campers from outside the territory.
Most NWT parks open on May 15.
