Police investigating report of stolen vehicle; looking for suspect

Yellowknife RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a suspect in an alleged vehicle theft. They received a report of a vehicle stolen at approximately 6:45 p.m. on Saturday, August 10th.

Police began an investigation and requested security video footage of areas around town, including a gas station on 50th Avenue and Forrest Drive.

The vehicle was described as a Blue 1996 GMC Safari van and has been located. RCMP are seeking to speak with the man who was driving it.

Anyone with information on the driver, or the driver themselves, is asked to call Yellowknife RCMP at 669-1111.
