Habitat for Humanity NWT has launched its first-ever ‘Raise-the-Roof’ raffle to raise funds for a 2020 affordable housing build on Spence Road in Yellowknife.
A Habitat news release says they have printed 2,255 raffle tickets for residents to buy – one for every NWT family currently living in unsuitable, inadequate or unaffordable housing.
Raffle tickets are available for sale at Polar Tech Recreation, Roy’s Audio Video Unlimited, and the Yellowknife ReStore. Habitat volunteers will also be selling tickets at various locations around the City.
Raffle prizes include a Honda TRX ATV on tracks, two round-trip WestJet flights paired with a luggage set, and a 55’’ Samsung Smart Television.
The raffle winners will be drawn at 4:00 p.m. on September 21st at the Yellowknife ReStore.
