RCMP searching for missing Yellowknife man

UPDATE: The missing person has been located and is safe.

RCMP are asking for the public’s help in searching for a missing Yellowknife man.

The 24-year-old man of Yellowknife is described as being five feet nine inches tall, with a heavy build and short dark hair. The last time he was seen he was wearing a grey button up short sleeve shirt, blue short, black shoes and white socks.

The missing person has an autism spectrum disorder and is nonverbal, with the ability of only saying yes or no. RCMP says he might act emotionally if approached by strangers. He is known to hang around different stores like Shell, Walmart, and stores in the downtown area.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the missing person is asked to call Yellowknife RCMP.
