Drugs and cash seized during search warrant after report of assault

On June 14th Inuvik RCMP responded to a call for service of an adult male who was seriously assaulted, when they arrived on scene they found an injured man who sought medical attention for his injuries. He was taken to the hospital and was released a short time later.

Police also located approximately 330 grams of crack cocaine valued at $49,000, 220 grams of marijuana valued at $4,000, and a significant sum of money.

RCMP identified three men in connection to the assault and located them at the Jak Park campground. A search warrant was prepared and executed for the campground and the three men were arrested.

The three men were charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine, Assault Causing Bodily Harm and Uttering Threats against Property.

No member of the public or police were injured during the execution of the search warrant and police are not seeking any other suspects in relation to this investigation. Anyone with further information is asked to contact Inuvik RCMP at 867-777-1111.
