Inuvik RCMP is requesting the public’s assistance to help identify the person or persons who would have damaged solar panels in the Town of Inuvik.
According to the police, sometime between 5 p.m. on June 15th and 2 p.m. on June 16th, seventeen solar panels were damaged at the Children First Centre, located on Kingmingya Road.
Police are currently investigating and are asking anyone who would have witnessed suspicious activity in the area of the Children First Centre between Saturday and Sunday afternoon to contact Inuvik RCMP at 777-1111.
“RCMP believe person, or persons, may have seen something suspicious. We are asking the residents of Inuvik to report any suspicious or unusual activity” states Olena Newmen, Staff Sergeant Acting Commander for Inuvik RCMP.
