UPDATE: Yellowknife RCMP locate missing 19-year-old woman

Yellowknife RCMP say a 19-year-old woman from Nunavut, reported missing earlier Thursday, has been located and is safe.

RCMP asked for the public’s assistance in finding the woman, who was last seen Wednesday, May 22nd in the area of Franklin Avenue near Larga Kitikmeot. Police described her as an ‘Inuk female, of small build, with black hair and black eyes.’

Spokesperson Marie York-Condon thanked the public for their help in the missing persons case.
