RCMP continues to search for missing travelers on day 3

Three days in since RCMP started searching for missing travelers on May 13th, police continue their search.

Multiple air search tools are being used by RCMP for different areas of Great Slave Lake in the effort to find the three missing people. The search area, at this time, ranges from Yellowknife, to Fort Resolution and Lutsel’ke. The search has been restricted to air resources, due to melting ice on the surface. RCMP emphasizes restraint from individual search attempts due to deteriorating ice conditions.

Two of the missing travelers are confirmed as 65-year-old Samuel Boucher and 23-year-old Cammy Boucher. The third traveler in the party is unknown. The trio left Dettah at around 10:30 p.m. on Monday, May 13th aboard a 1990’s era Black Bombardier Scandic two seater, towing two toboggans.

RCMP ask that anyone with any information on the possible whereabouts of the missing travelers to contact RCMP.
